The first picture was the old front door. The property is an ex-council house with a concrete slab over the entrance. However over time the concrete becomes porous and water was seeping into the house, so the wall paper on the hall ceiling was damp, black & mouldy...
The answer ?
We built a canopy over the old concrete ! Wooden frame with UPVC cladding so it is now low maintenance. A tile roof with gutters and down spout for the water to run off...
No more damp running in and the house looks so much better for the stylish make over.
These soffits and fascias were all wooden with flaking paint was evident. As there wasn't any rot, we used a UPVC cover board - which is more cost effective than a full replacement. The pictures display the vast improvement from the old soffits and fascias which were in desperate need of renewing. We do many soffits and fascias - and dependant on the condition of the existing ones, we can tailor your needs accordingly.
There are many benefits of UPVC soffits and fascias as opposed to wooden ones. The main one being, that there is no painting involved (ever) which makes it maintenance and hassle free!
Unfortunately I do not have the pictures to display what the garden looked like before we began works. This customer is blind and the garden before was set on two levels which made it impractical for her needs. After a free consultation which involved gathering all this lady's likes and dislikes and focusing on a simple way for her to explore the garden, we (Handyman Services and the customer) decided to dig out approximately 30 tons of soil to take this down to one level, before we could begin the works. These pictures are the outcome of one of many garden makeovers which we do. The patio area, lawn and plant area to the rear gives a varied design which meets all this customers needs ensuring low maintenance all year round! The majority of the plants were scented so that this customer could appreciate the smells.
